Overview
Kenosha is a lovely suburban city steeped in natural history and filled with interesting opportunities. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan about 45 minutes south of downtown Milwaukee, the area is experiencing fantastic development as Kenosha and its neighboring city, Racine, prepare for the arrival of Wisconsin's new Foxconn plant. The entire county will offer an array of opportunities, economic and otherwise. If you're looking for a rapidly growing area of Wisconsin, Kenosha is the perfect place!
Recreation
Kenosha is full of interesting activities for all ages. Those interested in the fascinating natural history of the area should visit the Kenosha Public Museum, home to a mammoth skeleton found nearby! If you like the outdoors, check out Petrifying Springs Park, home to a renowned 18-hole golf course and a unique public access spring water fill station, as well as recreational sports areas and a lit sledding hill for the winter. For a fun, vintage-inspired meal, head over to one of Kenosha's two drive-in diners, serving comfort food meant to bring back childhood memories. Of course, it's not Wisconsin without cheese, so grab a couple blocks of artisanal cheddar from the Mars Cheese Castle.
