About Kewaskum
For a small town, Kewaskum has a lot to keep you and your family entertained! Some historical facts: the village was named “Kewaskum” after a chief of the Potawatomi tribe of the same name. The name means “turning on his tracks,” which, in the context of the village, could also describe the horseshoe shape of the Milwaukee river in Kewaskum. The village is also referred to as the Gateway to the Kettle Moraine State Forest, as it is located at the base of the forest.
Small town fun is at its peak in Kewaskum! There are a bunch of great restaurants, like Call of the Wild Bar and Grill, the Limping Coyote Mexican restaurant, The Great Outdoors Supper Club, and Bootleggerz Saloon!
